ABOUT US

Crabtree Capital's shareholders and directors are Mark Tierney and Mark Nicholas.

Mark Tierney
Mr Tierney has a long and extensive career in the aviation industry. He was a senior executive at Guinness Peat Aviation (GPA), then one of the world's largest aircraft leasing companies, in the mid-90s. In addition to sharing the day-to-day handling of a group of over 100 banks, Mr Tierney was directly responsible for restructuring GPA's aircraft and engine orders (ca.$2+ Billion worth), restructuring several Scandinavian investor-related transactions and arranging finance for, and lease placement of, the remaining new aircraft on firm order.

An honours graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, Mr Tierney has held board positions in a number of transportation-related companies, including CarrierWeb Ireland Limited (a logistics solutions enterprise), a travel agency and an aircraft leasing company. He takes a keen interest in transportation generally and in recent years has attended the Boeing Airline Planning Seminar and the Civil Aviation Authority International Air Law Course. Mr Tierney is also a member of the Aero Club of East Africa, the Aviation Club of the UK, the Institute of Directors and the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT).

Mark Nicholas
Mr Nicholas is a practising attorney in Ireland. Prior to developing his own practice, Mr Nicholas was the Director of Legal Affairs at Woodchester International Leasing (since acquired by GE Capital) where he was responsible for the negotiation of many innovative and complex large-ticket cross-border leasing and financial transactions.

An honours graduate of the University of Limerick, Mr Nicholas was subsequently called to the bar having graduated from the school of law at the Honorable Society of King's Inns, Dublin. In addition to conducting his own practice, Mr Nicholas lectures law students and post-graduates throughout Ireland on an invitational basis and acts as an advisor to several corporate bodies.
